UCHE JUMBO I AM NOT A NOLLYWOOD HUSTLER
When I met this pretty actress, Uche Jombo at Ogba, Ikeja, Lagos, she was on her way to do a photo shoot for Globacom, the telecom giants which has appointed her as one of its ambassadors. She greeted me with a warm smile.
I was shocked to notice that she has cut her hairshort and had no "I am a star "air. We soon got talking, speaking about her new movie, her hair and the alleged abortion of a six month pregnancy.
I watched your new movie, Nollywood Hustlers, it's a satirical comedy and an interesting one. What can you say about it
It is a fun movie and the first time I read Nollywood Hustlers, I think Emem Isong called it Hustlers. I saw the script and I'm someone who loves to laugh. Then she was supposed to do it in collaboration with someone. The person was supposed to be the Executive Producer but along the line, she just stopped it for another project.
Having read the script, it was still in my mind so when I was thinking about becoming an Executive Producer, I thought of a perfect first project to do. And I have been acting and writing for a long time. Even as a writer, I have always dreamt of when I will be able to finance my own script. Not having any producer, who because he is financing it, could now want to impose on my creativity.
