Young entrepreneurs, business management students and anyone who
cares about growing a business now has a good book to guide them to success
with the launch of a biography on Prince. Kofi Amoabeng, Group Chairman of the
UT Group of Companies.
Written by an Accountant,
Daniel Amuzu, the book, titled Living Naked: The
Wit and Wisdom of Prince Kofi Amoabeng
is made up of 17 easy-to-read chapters which capture the
professional life of Mr
Amoabeng and his
rise to success.
At the official
launch of the book held at Alisa Hotel, Ridge, Accra, OVATION Publisher,
Bashorun Dele Momodu, said society needed role models like Amoabeng to guide
and inspire young people to achieve their set goals.
He praised Mr Amoabeng
for his unique leadership qualities and humility which, according to him, had inspired
many people to establish their own companies.
Chief Momodu
commended the author for chronicling the achievements of Mr Amoabeng which he
noted would be an important source of knowledge to society.
In his remarks, the
author, Mr Amuzu, said he wrote the book to give others the opportunity to
learn about the ideas and leadership style of Mr Amoabeng.
He said another
reason for working on the book was to honour Mr Amoabeng for his achievements
and enable more people emulate his character.
“I, however, believe
that by documenting the life of our leaders from time to time, we will produce
the next generation of leaders who will aspire to do what they did, learn from
them and do more. This way we can continue to grow as individuals, as a nation
and as a continent,” he stated.
Mr Amuzu made a
request to Mr Amoabeng to write an autobiography and form a foundation to groom
future entrepreneurs. The book was reviewed by Chief Executive Officer of Roverman Productions, Mr Ebo Whyte, who
described it as reader-friendly, noting that the tense and language were plain
and simple.
