It was an
evening of fun when Lions Club 404B, Ikeja installed Lion Yinka Bolarinwa as
its new District Governor at the exquisite Shaba Centre, Mobolaji Bank
Anthony way, Ikeja Lagos.
The event had several members of
other Lion Clubs in a t t e n d a n c e including the Governor of Oyo State,
Abiola Ajimobi who was the special guest of honour.
G o v e r n o r Ajimobi, while
delivering his lecture said, “Social clubs could better achieve their
objectives when they have their members in government.” He f u r t h e r a d m
o n i s h e d , “Organizations like the Lions Club should encourage their
members to contribute their quota to the development and change the wrong
perception of some people about politics.
” While speaking on the topic, ‘The
Impact of Service and Ethics to the Survival of a Nation’, a former Minister of
Health, Prince Julius Adelusi- Adeluyi, urged the club to initiate the process
for the resuscitation of value systems in the Nigerian society
The highpoint of the event were
the presentation of Lion Yinka Bolarinwa as the new District Governor of Lions
Club 404B and the inauguration of the club’s new three storey multi-purpose
complex by Gov. Ajimobi.
