Love was in the air when Mariam Shehu and Michael Oboh
cemented their years of friendship
with a colourful marriage ceremony in Kaduna State, Nigeria.
It was a most happy occasion as the Johnson Obu family from Uromi, Esanland,
Edo State united with the Hausa/Fulani Shehu Family and both exhibited their
different cultures and traditions.
The wedding ceremony started with a thanksgiving mass at the groom’s father’s
house in Banarwa. Then came the wedding proper when Mariam and Michael said “I
do” to the delight of family and friends.
After the solemnization, all roads led to the Gymnasium Hall of the Ahmadu
Bello Stadium where guests
were treated to sumptuous meals and choice drinks
In his opening remarks, Chairman of the occasion, Chief Omo Asaihagbon advised
the couple to be tolerant of each other. Later, CEO of Discovery Air, Tunde
Babalola who was also given an opportunity to speak urged the couple to put God
first in all they do.
Nollywood actor, Victor Osuagwu and MC Shakara were the comperes and they
treated guests to an afternoon of fun and laughter.
The Chief Host and Chairman of MENJ OIL LTD, Mr Johnson Obu who was very
elated, thanked everyone who had come to share the special occasion with the
families.
